Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is Palm Beach County's award winning community-based children's choir. It is a multi-racial, multi-cultural arts education organization based centrally in West Palm Beach at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
Patrice was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2013. The prognosis for this type of cancer is serious and the tumor is aggressive and unpredictable (Glioblastoma). Patrice is no longer able to work. At the time of her diagnosis, she had just taken a position as principal at Meyer Jewish Academy after working with the Diocese of Palm Beach for six years and the [public schools for 17 years prior to that; Carl is a teacher. As a simple summary, they need financial assistance to pay for mounting medical bills. Patrice is being treated locally and at Duke University in North Carolina in the hopes of extending her life span by being with a progressive teaching hospital. While this is the best case scenario. It has also added an additional travel and medical expense.
At least 17% of Palm Beach County residents do not know where their next meal will come from. The Palm Beach County Food Bank rescues, collects and distributes food to agencies that take on the daily responsibility of feeding the hungry.
